Structured conversation practice

Muscle Memory Training

Drills natural phrases until they’re automatic.

Expressing, Questioning, Listening, Feedback — the four skills of every round.

Holding practice

Sustain a topic for 10, 20, then 30 minutes.

The worked example

One round of Conversation Flow

01 Expressing — you say it · 02 Question — you ask · 03 Listening — you catch the answer · 04 Feedback — your coach corrects, you repeat.

Every round of 01→02→03→04 keeps the conversation alive. One more round = longer holding: 20 seconds → 5 minutes → 15 minutes → 30 minutes.

Topic: your weekend.

  1. Express — “Shūmatsu wa Kamakura ni ikimashita.” (I went to Kamakura at the weekend.)
  2. Ask — “…san wa, shūmatsu nani o shimashita ka?” (What did you do?)
  3. Listen — you catch the key word in your coach’s reply (e.g. eiga = film).
  4. Feedback — your coach fixes your pitch on ikimashita and hands you a natural follow-up (“tanoshikatta desu” — it was fun); you repeat it until it’s automatic.

That’s one round. Holding time is how long you keep the exchange alive without switching to English — one more round each time: 20 seconds → 5 minutes → 15 minutes → 30 minutes.

FAQ

Conversation-practice questions

Self-training helps, but you plateau without correction. A coach fixes what you can’t hear yourself.

AI explains and role-plays, but a native coach corrects pronunciation, nuance and gives real accountability.

Most learners feel the difference within their first few sessions — and can hold a real conversation in about 2 months at Level 1.
