I came into this course having passive book knowledge and knowing quite a bit of vocabulary but having difficulty with simple sentences without sounding too much like a textbook. My coach/instructor was very patience with my questions and we focused on training in the areas I requested. Learning core phrases and how to use different vocabulary with those phrases helped built up basic communication skills I was lacking in. Reviewing and roleplaying conversations in the following lessons helped strengthen what was learned in the previous lesson so you can build upon what you learned and add more phrases for everyday conversation or specific subjects. I found that this course did provide what I was looking for and couldn’t get from just reading a textbook. I’m very happy I found JLF.

You have to find a system that’s really fast Japan Language factory cuts through all of the steps where you’re going to sit there and study a book because you don’t talk to a book.

I took the course at JLF for 8 months and was able to improve my conversation skills a lot. I think that the focused and context based approach to learning is something that really helps improve faster.
And I would also like to a shoutout to my sensei during the course, who is absolutely the sweetest!!

I definitely enjoyed every minute of my lessons at JLF. The learning style helped me progress at a much faster rate and elevated my confidence in carrying on conversations in Japanese. The instructors are very helpful and will structure the learning to your areas of interest, scenarios or topics where you want to converse in Japanese, and even help you learn new ways of communicating so that you converse like native speakers. Now, when I visit a store, I confidently ask for what I need, easily pulling up phrases on my phone when necessary. This newfound understanding has transformed my daily life, offering comfort and assurance in my surroundings. No longer do I feel panic in unexpected situations, like when a crowd suddenly moves in one direction following an announcement. One of the aspects I greatly appreciated about Japan Language Factory was their personalized approach to learning. From the outset, they asked me about my specific goals for learning Japanese, inquiring about the situations I wanted to tackle immediately in my life. This direct questioning made me realize the immediate relevance of my learning objectives. For instance, when I expressed a desire to introduce myself in a business setting, they tailored my initial lessons precisely to meet this need. We focused exclusively on mastering this skill, allowing me to quickly see and memorize the necessary feedback, including intonation and delivery. Before joining JLF, my ability to speak Japanese was quite limited, largely because I rarely had the opportunity to practice, given that most of my colleagues were foreigners. However, enrolling in JLF marked a significant turning point for me. The program emphasized not only speaking confidently but also thinking and expressing myself in Japanese in a natural manner. The numerous group sessions and one-on-one conversations with my teacher, coupled with their encouragement to engage in activities that required me to step out of my comfort zone and interact with native speakers, have been instrumental in my progress.

It was better than any of the classes or study lessons I've ever had.

I had textbooks and JLP study books, but I gave them away. Because I‘m not going to use them.

This is an excellent quality product.

I must have gone through half a dozen tutors.

And it always went missing.

You don’t just meet people and open a book and start reading it to them.

So, I really preferred the verbally focused approach.

I like the conversational approach at JLF for learning Japanese, as I'm not inclined to use textbooks.

When I was a kid, I went to school and came home without touching my books until the next day.

Overall, the sessions at JLF have been very good.

I especially like the approach of JLF.
Practice, conversation, and more practice are key because that’s what you need to do.
It’s actually mentioned in the course that it’s about muscle memory in your mouth, and that’s true.

As long as you practice something, you’ll get better at it.
So no matter where you live, you can practice and improve.
You can learn something.

For the place I was at with my Japanese, this course was perfect! If you currently live in Japan this will make your experience so much better. I can now very comfortable get through airports, hotels, train stations, taxis, barbers, getting my dog groomed, cafes, renting camping or skiing gear, and so much more completely in Japanese. This course also helpped get me started in the direction of making Japanese friends and speaking Japanese in a more casual setting. I still have a long way to go but I can hold my own in a group and my mentality on language learning has shifted to a more healthy approach with regular goals and achievements that make it fun and rewarding. This course is a must for anyone focused on the communication piece of learning Japanese.
